Details of Experience:

November 1989 to 2007August:

Worked as Asst Manager (Inspection) with M/s Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd. KAKINADA a gas based Fertilizer unit with Ammonia, Urea, Captive Power generation plant and other allied Utility plants. In 1998, the company has doubled its capacity by implementing another similar capacity Naphtha based plant. In NFCL a full fledged plant inspection system has been established consisting of modern instrumentation and the conventional NDT methods to continuously monitor the plant health. Plant inspection is carried out on regular basis while plant is on stream and internal inspection of both static and rotating machines in shut down. This has helped in doing away with the conventional philosophy of regular maintenance. Condition monitoring has regulated in better plant availability besides minimizing the possibility of hazardous and catastrophic failures. The following are the activities:

To perform inspection activities in accordance with Inspection and HSE Policies and Procedures and to coordinates activities with Operations and Engineering/Maintenance Department personnel, plus Third Party Contractors for inspection maintenance work. Has frequent contacts with specialized Contractors, Operators, and Civil personnel, to ensure that quality of works meet the pre-established requirements.

Main Accountabilities:

• To execute, interpret and report on all Non Destructive Testing activities, to assess and identify the condition fabricated or in service piping and equipment.

• To follow up execution of repairs and modifications, materials selection, welding, painting, and wrapping activities.

• To perform relevant test requirements prior to final acceptance by the Inspection Section Head.

• To maintain and update the Inspection section filing and Work Orders.

• To participate in identification of areas of concern analyses.

• To perform Inspection Activities in line with Inspection Procedures, HSE Management Systems, Maintenance and Inspection Policies.

• To comply with all company Health, Safety and Environment as well as Work Permit, policies and procedures.






September -2007 to Till date:

Working as Head(inspection) with M/s Proplant inc an US based EPC company for rehabilitating Notore fertilizer plant in Onne, Nigeria. The plant was successfully commissioned.
Established a full fledged NDT laboratory.

The following are my activities during the above period.
1. All inspection activities during Reharping of Primary reformer.
2. Inspection of all HP equipment in Urea plant.
3. Coordinated inspection activities of Gas turbine during overhauling.
4. Coordinated inspection activities of 10000 MT Double wall double integrity atmospheric Ammonia storage tank.
5. Actively involved in inspection of all static equipment and recommended corrective actions wherever necessary.
6. Conducted welders qualification tests.
7. Thickness survey of all critical lines and recommended for replacement wherever necessary.
8. Corrosion protection jobs.
9. Vibration measurement and Analysis of all rotating equipments in the plant and giving suitable recommendations for corrective actions
